JoJo Golden Spirit PVE Tier List
Story and Hall of Trials ranks that diverge from the general S-row, with weather and combo notes for launch stages.
The general tier list answers who is valuable on an account. This page answers who clears JoJo Golden Spirit PVE after the 13 August 2026 launch: story chapters, the Hall of Trials Entrance Exam, and weather-tagged stages. A Stand can sit in A for Pocket Gamer’s 14 August 2026 snapshot and still be the correct click for a rain map or a protection fight. Copy S-tier into every stage and you will stall on flame checks, sand, fog, heat, and blizzard rules the letter grades do not encode.
Story and the Entrance Exam core
Three names do more PVE work than their general grade implies.
Giorno Giovanna remains the heal lynchpin. Gold Experience restoring HP is why he carries early chapters and why he stays in the party when a newer damage SSR arrives. If the reroll gave you Giorno, build him for story first, vanity later.
Joseph Joestar is an SR, not an SSR, and he is free from the two-million pre-registration milestone. Hermit Purple stun is the reason he still starts in Hall of Trials. The Entrance Exam is a protection fight: keep Giorno’s flame lit, and crowd-control Shadow Sabbath when it appears. Joseph’s immobilize chance is exactly that job. Do not bench him because the S-row is full of limited names.
Koichi Hirose is a launch SSR and an S-tier general pick, but PVE uses him as a timed pin. In the Entrance Exam he can join as support; Echoes ACT 3 holds Shadow Sabbath in a gravity field for a short window. Save that tap for when the flame is at risk, not as the opening button. He cannot help while Shadow Sabbath is absent, so the rest of the party still needs Giorno and a stun piece.
Open the Hall of Trials at Quest Level 3. Daily quests raise that cap; the progression guide and the daily checklist are how you get there without wasting Extreme Trial keys on a guest account. Story stages stay solo auto-battles with manual ultimate timing. Turn auto off until you can fire three different fighting-style ultimates for Rush.
Combos the general list under-sells
Cioccolata plus Secco is the PVE pair to look for even when Secco is only A-tier on the snapshot. Cioccolata is S-tier as a launch SSR; Secco is the SR partner who makes the Green Day kit feel complete in longer fights. If you own both, slot them together for story bosses before you split them to chase Rush colors.
Prosciutto is A-tier generally and a heat specialist in PVE. Grateful Dead aging works in extremely hot fields and is suppressed in blizzards. Do not take him into heavy snow just because the SSR roster lists him as a launch Assault unit. Check the weather icon first.
Bruno Bucciarati, Diavolo, F.F., and Jotaro still clear PVE; they are not downgraded here. They are simply not the reason a stage with a flame, a sandstorm, or a rain tag becomes easy. Use them as Rush partners around the PVE core instead of replacing Giorno to make the party look more S-tier.
Weather picks that beat letter grades
Read the field on the weather guide before you copy a ranked party. Launch PVE cares about four interactions more than the S-row does.
- Narancia Ghirga in sand or fog. Aerosmith keeps range when those fields would cut other ranged Stands. He is A-tier generally and a first pick on sandstorm or heavy fog maps.
- Squalo in rain. Clash gains skill and normal-attack range in rain. He is B-tier on the general snapshot and a weather starter when the icon is wet.
- Prosciutto in heat, not blizzard. Age the enemy in hot stages; leave him on the bench when snow is listed.
- N’Doul and other distance kits still follow tile rules from Ranged style. Fog and sand punish that job unless the Stand explicitly ignores the cut.
Hol Horse, Mariah, and Ghiaccio can be correct B-tier clicks on a weather stage and still be wrong as a reroll target. PVE ranking is a stage plan, not an account plan. Spend Uncharted Fate using the general list and the reroll page; spend the party editor using this page.
A simple PVE build order
- Keep Giorno if you have him. If you do not, Joseph plus any Support-style healer is the backup, not a reason to skip codes that still grant Uncharted Fate.
- Put Joseph on Entrance Exam attempts until Shadow Sabbath stays stunned.
- Add Koichi when the fight allows his timed support.
- Attach Cioccolata and Secco for longer story bosses.
- Swap Narancia, Squalo, or Prosciutto when the weather icon says sand, fog, rain, or heat.
- Fill remaining slots with mixed styles so Rush is legal. Three identical colors will not open the 25 percent window described in Rush combat.
C-tier names (Leaky-Eye Luca, Anjuro Katagiri, Rudol von Stroheim) can appear in early story because the game hands them over. Replace them as soon as an A-tier SR with a weather or stun job exists. Do not invest Extreme Trial gear in C-tier just to force a PVE clear; the guides hub would rather you raise Quest Level and retry with Joseph.
Unreleased Stands do not have PVE ranks. Josuke, Jolyne, Dio/DIO, Kira, Fugo, Trish, Risotto, Polnareff, Iggy, Kakyoin, Wamuu, and Kars are not playable. Jonathan Joestar is not a secret PVE tank; he left with closed beta. If a video ranks those names, it is not describing the 13 August 2026 client.
Letter grades on the hub will move after events and launch patches. Weather rules move slower. Until a patch rewrites sand, rain, heat, and the Entrance Exam flame, Giorno, Joseph, and Koichi are the PVE spine, Cioccolata wants Secco, and the B-tier rain fish is allowed to start over an S-tier who hates the field.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, Rush, and Stand lineups.
Why is Joseph Joestar important if he is only A-tier?
The general snapshot ranks account value. PVE ranks stage jobs. Joseph's Hermit Purple stun is the Entrance Exam crowd-control piece, and every account owns him from pre-registration.
Do I need Giorno to clear story?
You can clear without him, but he is the heal lynchpin and the early-game carry. If the reroll offered Giorno, keep him even when Jotaro is the flashier featured SSR.
When should I use Narancia, Squalo, or Prosciutto?
Narancia on sand or fog, Squalo on rain, Prosciutto on heat and never as a blizzard starter. Details sit on the weather page.
Is the Cioccolata and Secco pairing required?
Not required, but it is the PVE combo the general S-row under-sells. Cioccolata is S-tier; Secco is A-tier. Together they outperform splitting them to chase a prettier SSR screenshot.
Does Rush still matter in PVE?
Yes. Story is auto-battle with manual ultimates. You still need three different styles to open Rush. A mono-style S-tier party will heal less and hit less than a mixed A-tier party.
