JoJo Golden Spirit PvP Tier List

PvP ranks in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit are not the Pocket Gamer S-row with Versus written on top. Ranked Arena is a 5v5 auto-battle. Free-For-All is a rotating board that shared a 26 August 2026 balance pass with Orange Bomb. Both modes still use Rush: ultimates from three different fighting styles, about ten seconds, 25 percent Final DMG. This page grades live cores for those boards. Unreleased names still do not belong here. Josuke Higashikata, Jolyne Cujoh, Dio / DIO, Yoshikage Kira, Fugo, Trish, Risotto, Polnareff, Iggy, Kakyoin, Wamuu, and Kars are not playable. Jonathan Joestar was closed-beta only. Rank the eleven launch SSRs plus the SR pool you actually own.

How PvP ranking differs from PVE

PVE rewards a protect-Giorno layout, Joseph Joestar stun, and weather specialists (Narancia in sand or fog, Squalo in rain, Prosciutto in heat). Ranked rarely shows those weathers. There is no Entrance Exam flame. There is a defender team that fights while you are offline, which is why a lineup that only works if you tap every ultimate will drop VS Score overnight.

Value in Versus is: can the five Rush without taps, can a healer survive the first melee arrow, and does the kit still function after the 26 August Free-For-All numbers. AUTO is a trap in both PVE and PvP; it is fatal in Ranked because the other side also holds ultimates. Read Combat and Rush before you copy a thumbnail five.

Featured Jotaro Kujo remains on Fated Expedition through 10 September 2026 EST. That does not auto-place him above Giorno on defense. Star Platinum burst is real. Gold Experience keeping the backline up is why Giorno still sits in almost every stable Ranked core at research time.

S rank for Ranked (post-26 August 2026)

S is “build the team around this job.” You do not need every name. You need the job.

• Giorno Giovanna — heal lynchpin. Support style. Still the reason early Ranked accounts stop folding on the opening tile.
• Jotaro Kujo — featured limited SSR. High burst once Rush is legal. Worth the hat shop if you already own him; not a reason to skip Giorno.
• Diavolo — King Crimson kits that skip or punish a column. Strong on both offense and parked defense.
• F.F. (Foo Fighters) — S-row generalist that still shows up in live 5v5 footage.
• Bruno Bucciarati — Sticky Fingers utility that survives when the first melee path is ugly.
• Cioccolata — mold pressure. Pair with Secco (SR) when you have both; the combo is Combat in the Wit/Combat split, not a weather pick.

If your complimentary pulls miss this row, the reroll guide still applies before you bind. If you already own Giorno plus any two other styles, keep the account and fill holes with SR names instead of resetting for a perfect S five.

A rank: the cores you will actually field

A is elite and often the best SR or off-banner SSR on the account.

• Koichi Hirose — gravity pin is less mandatory than Entrance Exam, still a defense-team stopper.
• Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli and Muhammad Avdol — launch SSRs who sit A in general value and remain excellent Ranged / Special Rush colors.
• Prosciutto — aging. Heat is rare in Ranked, so he is A here and can jump in PVE heat stages.
• Ermes Costello — S-row adjacent, usable when you need the style color.
• Leone Abbacchio, Pet Shop, Lisa Lisa, Rubber Soul — Pocket Gamer S-row names that still play; they are A in Versus because Ranked wants a Rush mix more than a collection of S letters.
• Joseph Joestar (SR, free from two-million pre-registration) — stun is real on defense. He is not an Arena carry.
• Guido Mista, Narancia Ghirga, Secco — SR tools. Narancia’s sand/fog ignore is a PVE tax; in Ranked he is a ranged body, not a weather win button.

Do not six-stack Part 5 because the manga is Golden Wind. Rush needs three fighting styles, not three Bucciarati-shaped kits.

B and C in Versus

B holds distinctive kits that need a hole: Hol Horse, Squalo, Ghiaccio, Tarkus, Sports Maxx, Sale, Pesci, Melone, Formaggio. Squalo jumps in rain you will almost never see in Ranked. Play him if he is your only Ranged color, not because a PVE page said rainfall.

C is collection-first: Leaky-Eye Luca, Anjuro Katagiri, Rudol von Stroheim, and other R names. They are investigation fodder and Hall of Trials SPW Request bodies. They should not eat Extreme Trial Keys or Arena Tickets.

Free-For-All after the 26 August pass is its own board. Orange Bomb polish and Coin Toss tuning changed minigame feel; they did not reprint the Ranked S-row. Use FFA for hats and boxes on the events calendar. Use this list for 5v5 cores. Tactical Simulation is the practice desk — test a defense there before you spend a day’s Arena Tickets chasing a B-rank specialist.

How to use the grades

1. New account: getting started, codes, then reroll if the first SSR is not a keep.
2. Build three styles before you open Versus. A Giorno + Jotaro + Diavolo core that can Rush beats five Assault screenshots.
3. Park a defense team that works on AUTO-off logic even when you are not tapping: healer off the first tile, tank on the melee arrow.
4. Spend VS Score in the ranked shop on tickets and mats, not on portraits, until the five is legal. Wallets are on the items page.
5. Recheck patch notes after a Free-For-All or Ranked window. The 26 August defender-model fix was a render bug, not a silent nerf; do not rebuild because a preview looked wrong.

Letter grades will move when a later Ability banner or Versus pass ships. Until then, Giorno is the Ranked glue, Jotaro is the featured spike, and three styles in the ultimate bar matter more than a copied S-tier screenshot from 14 August 2026.
