JoJo Golden Spirit Launch Timeline
From Golden Anthem to the 13 August 2026 global servers.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit left closed tests and opened global iOS and Android servers on 13 August 2026. The store listing reads JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS. KLab Games and Wanda Cinemas Games built the 3D auto-battler; Wanda Cinemas Games publishes; HOOLAI GAME LIMITED operates the listing. Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau did not receive this build. This page is the version history: announcement, English reveal, closed beta, pre-registration mail, day-one client, and the 15 August and 26 August patches. Live banners and minigames belong on launch events. The parent Updates Hub is the short index.
If you created an account after those dates, you still want this page. Pre-registration mail, Monthly Pass blueprints, and Level 5 offers are easy to miss while you chase codes and a reroll. Pair this timeline with the getting started guide so Quest Level, mailbox, and Hall of Trials unlocks line up.
From Golden Anthem to global servers
China saw the project first in December 2020 under the name Golden Anthem (黄金赞歌). The English-language reveal landed on 8 May 2026. English and French closed beta then ran 15–29 May 2026 for players in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and France. That test taught the loop this wiki now documents: four Stand users, manual ultimates into Rush, and weather fields that punish a copied lineup. Accounts from that beta did not carry into launch.
After the test, store pre-registration opened. Every published milestone was hit by 30 July 2026. Rewards were not drip-fed at each threshold; they were mailed in-game around launch, which is why late installs still find a full package if they clear enough early story to open the mailbox. Soundtrack credit stays with Yugo Kanno. Presentation is 3D combat, Live2D portraits, and a 360 camera — the same stack the 8 May trailer sold, and the same stack the 15 August notes still had to stabilize in Guild and World Boss rooms.
Who shipped the 13 August build
Credit lines on the listing and in press notes stay consistent: development by KLab Games and Wanda Cinemas Games, publishing by Wanda Cinemas Games, store operation by HOOLAI GAME LIMITED. That split matters when you look up the app. Searching only Golden Spirit can surface the wrong regional package. Searching JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS on the official store links is the clean path.
The 13 August open covered iOS and Android. Google Play also lists Windows via Play Games. Co-op is online: Extreme Trial Team, guild content, and ranked PvP sit on the live servers, while story stages remain solo auto-battles with manual ultimate timing. Nothing in the August patches changed that split. If a friend cannot find you, check region first — the excluded East Asian territories are not a delayed shard; they were left out of this launch.
Pre-registration mail
All six public milestones were completed by 30 July 2026 and mailed as a stack. Claim them from the in-game mailbox after you progress far enough (typically early Chapter 1 / a low Quest Level). The table is the official ladder:
| Registrations | Reward |
|---|---|
| 50,000 | 200,000 Coins |
| 200,000 | 20 Stones of Destiny |
| 500,000 | 600 Astrogems |
| 1,000,000 | 2 Extreme Trial Keys |
| 1,500,000 | 10 Uncharted Fate Cards |
| 2,000,000 | SR Joseph Joestar x1 |
Coins fund upgrades. Stones of Destiny feed ability enhancement. Astrogems are the premium currency. Extreme Trial Keys open the high-reward co-op room documented on the Hall of Trials page — do not burn both keys on an unbuilt four-person lineup. Uncharted Fate cards are the permanent / featured character tickets; hold them until you read the SSR roster and fighting styles. SR Joseph Joestar (Stardust Crusaders, Hermit Purple) is a support pull that heals, crowd-controls, and links damage. He is a strong early slot, not a reason to skip the PvE tier list.
If the mail is empty, confirm you are on the global listing, then finish the Naples tutorial beats that unlock the mailbox. Pre-registration was not a separate redeem code. It is not listed on the rewards table because it is mailbox inventory, not an Exchange Code string.
Day-one client and store snapshot
Stores mentioned client 1.0.4 around launch. Google Play updated the listing on 10 August 2026, three days before servers opened, so most day-one installs already sat on that client. Force the store update if your build is older; several 15 August bug reports (Guild wheel freeze, Tarkus World Boss freeze) were client-side.
At research time the Play Store page showed about 1 million downloads, roughly 4.1 stars, and about 9,800 reviews. Phrase that as a snapshot. Star counts move; the patch list below does not change because a rating ticked up. Use in-game mail and @jojogs_official for live copy, then come back here for the dated changelog.
Launch day also opened Fated Expedition (宿命遠征) — 13 August 2026 through 10 September 2026 EST — with featured Jotaro Kujo, Jotaro’s Hat, and the minigame set. That campaign, the login summon for SSR Jotaro, the Stardust Crusaders character story, and the 13–20 August X giveaway are documented on launch events, not duplicated as a second calendar here.
15 August 2026 live patch (no downtime)
Two days after launch, a live update applied without taking servers down. Official notes split into optimizations and fixes.
Optimizations:
- Novice Ability Recruitment wishlist now shows the specific ability names for selectable characters instead of a generic label.
- Monthly Pass Store added the Jotaro Badge Blueprint and refreshed the free reward row as a special bonus.
- Level 5 limited-time special offer went live for new and veteran players. Anyone who already sat at Level 5 before the patch triggers the offer on the next level-up, so you do not miss it by being slightly ahead of the curve.
Bug fixes:
- Guild Entertainment Wheel could freeze the client; that path was patched.
- Guild Quest progress chests that would not claim now grant.
- Wishlist translations for Permanent Ability Recruitment were wrong in some regions; ability names should match the English (and other locale) strings.
- World Boss Tarkus could freeze the battle when he cast skills; that freeze was closed.
Practical reading: if you were waiting on a Jotaro badge craft, the Monthly Pass is now the blueprint source. If you were dumping Uncharted Fate into abilities, open the wishlist and confirm names before you lock targets. If Tarkus still hard-locks you, capture the client version — on 1.0.4 after this patch it is a new bug, not the day-three freeze. Weather and Rush values were not rewritten in this note; lineup advice on the tier list still holds.
26 August 2026 maintenance (05:00–08:00 UTC)
All servers went offline for a three-hour window on 26 August 2026 from 05:00 to 08:00 UTC. Compensation mailed after the restart. End time could slip; the mailbox stamp is the proof you were online for the gift.
Optimizations:
- Orange Bomb minigame feel was polished (this is the Fated Expedition / Free-For-All bomb game, not a new mode).
- Free-For-All gameplay values were fine-tuned.
- Featured Character and Ability Recruitment Packs were added, plus a Featured Recruitment Store.
- Energy Operation Phase 2 opened.
- Avatar-frame likes now have a progress tracker, so you can see how close the frame is instead of guessing.
Bug fixes:
- Free-For-All screen could render wrong; display path was fixed.
- Some Italian quest descriptions were missing text.
- Card Flip could display incorrectly.
- Recruitment screen images could fail to load.
- Ranked Match defender models could disappear in some situations.
- Tactical Simulation picked up a bundle of unspecified fixes.
If you spend after this window, the new featured packs and store are the real economy change. Compare pack contents to the SSR roster before you buy a Jotaro-shaped bundle that does not actually raise your fighting style spread. Energy Operation Phase 2 is a stamina-structure change; fold it into the daily checklist and progression route rather than dumping it the night it appears.
After you patch
Work the mailbox, then Exchange Code. The redeem walkthrough is the screen path; the codes hub is the live list. Push story until Quest Level 3 so the Hall of Trials opens, then spend Extreme Trial Keys from pre-registration mail with a team that can actually finish. Keep auto-battle off until three different styles can ultimate together — that 25 percent Rush window is still the combat rule, and neither August patch rewrote it.
New accounts should still reroll before binding if the first Uncharted Fate spread is poor. Veterans should not assume the 26 August featured store is cheaper than waiting for Fated Expedition hats; hats expire with the campaign on 10 September 2026 EST, while Monthly Pass blueprints persist. For the event clock, leave this changelog and open launch events. For the next dated patch, return to the Updates Hub.
Keep a screenshot of your client version next to the 15 August and 26 August notes. If a Guild chest still fails to open on 1.0.4 after both patches, it is a new bug, not a missed day-one hotfix. The next place to look is launch events while Fated Expedition is still on the clock.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, Rush, and Stand lineups.
Did pre-registration rewards actually mail, and how do I claim them?
Yes. Every milestone through 2 million sign-ups was hit by 30 July 2026 and mailed in-game. Open the mailbox after early story. You should see Coins, Stones of Destiny, Astrogems, Extreme Trial Keys, Uncharted Fate cards, and SR Joseph Joestar. This is not an Exchange Code; how to redeem is only for typed codes.
Was the 15 August update downtime?
No. It was a live client/server apply. You did not need to sit in a queue. The 26 August window was the downtime patch (05:00–08:00 UTC). Both lists are on this launch timeline.
I already passed Level 5. Did I miss the limited offer?
No. The 15 August note says players who reached Level 5 before the patch trigger the offer on their next level-up. Keep pushing Quest Level instead of making a second account just for the popup.
Which client should I be on?
Stores mentioned about **1.0.4** around launch, and Google Play updated on 10 August 2026 before servers opened. Force the store update if you still see Guild wheel or Tarkus freezes that the 15 August note already named.
Does this page cover Fated Expedition minigames?
Only as a pointer. Dates, Jotaro's Hat, Mist Skirmish, Card Flip, Coin Toss, Orange Bomb, Memory Match, login summons, and the X giveaway live on launch events. This page is the ship and patch log.
Can friends in Japan or mainland China join my guild?
Not on this global launch. Those territories, plus Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, were excluded. Online co-op (Extreme Trial Team, guilds, ranked) works inside the launched regions. See official links for the store you should actually install.
